An early image of the sandhill crane chick less than one week old in the swamp area of Lake Sylvan Park. I photographed him the morning he was born wearing chest high waders with my 1DM4 camera and 500 mm lens mounted on a tripod. My wife and I then followed him for the next 60 days as they would return to the same swamp area near the origiinal nest site each night.
