Jim Urbach  > Animals > Sandhill Crane
These images of one and two day old chicks were taken near my home in Sanford, Florida. I visited the nest for 20 consecutive days, both early AM and late PM. Finally on Sunday morning I observed two adults at the next site and when the one on the nest got up, there was the first chick and one egg in full view. Later that day the chick was 70 yards from the nest..
