Photgraphing these caterpillars is challenging. One of the biggest problems is employing enough DOF and speed so all is sharp. Then you need to achieve a non-distracting blurred background. I loved the snow monkeys in central Honshu and really lucked out with the white-tailed eagles, japanese cranes and of course the majestic stellar sea eagles in Rausu.
